Hi peeps. Back with some Updates. School started offically last week and I wasnt as excited as I thought I would be. Lots of independent learning and readings. With NO more naggings and scoldings from the lecturers, we're all on my own now. I miss the times when we were spoon-fed in secondary schools. I miss the times when we were guided in junior colleges. I wonder if I will miss the independent learnings in uni when I'm out to work. haha.
Life's just so full of ironies, well, I dont know for most peeps out there, but it is for me definitely. I'm ironic person. Quoting from another blog where I give my acknowledge to here, I'm a "walking contradiction". Just an update of the modules I will be taking for the next 6 months - Chinese Studies (Literature/History), Chinese Biz & Industry, Economics, General Biology, Comms & New Media. Some think that I am mad. Well, maybe I am. Chinese, for the first time in my life, feels daunting and demanding. It's time I should step out of my comfort zone and be strong willed enough to deal with setbacks and mistakes. I cant always be receiving the good ends in my life isnt it?
There have been times whereby I feel going to NUS and rejecting NTU was a hell of a wrong choice. But come to think again, this is only my first week. Am I being too pessimistic? haha. Perhaps cause the stupid bidding and balloting systems irritate me too much. Will be joining Kendo, Ushering or Choir I suppose. Two of the mentioned.
And mind you people. I do lead a decent life. I watch movies. Haha. Watched "Money Not Enough 2" twice, with my family and marcel respectively. Not because I loved the movie but for two simple reasons: I need some break and laughter injected in my life before I start shooting curse and swears at peeps. The movie was fine. Touching. Funny. Not very Sarcastic. ERP: Every Road Pay. The english sounds broken, but still acceptable. Singaporeans should ,more or less, be able to catch the jokes and sarcasm made in the movie. As for the foreigners, I am not too sure with that. The jokes are crafted and made for Singaporeans. And that may be the reason why the local movies here in Singapore were never able to reach for the global entertainment market.
One last thing before I end my entry for the day. A phrase from the movie, deeply etched to my mind: 头大无脑, 脑大生草.
